Account Deletion and Data Rights

How to request closure or exercise privacy rights for the MOVRR app (nl.movrr.app) and related services, including when you cannot sign in.
1. Request in the app or outside it
MOVRR, Luzacstraat 7 01 A, 3038 VT Rotterdam, Netherlands, KvK 93383738, is responsible for account and privacy requests. The app contains Account → Privacy & Security → Delete Account, but self-service request acceptance and execution are currently unavailable. Email privacy@movrr.nl for manual handling. You do not need to give a reason for exercising an erasure right.
Email the monitored privacy@movrr.nl address with the subject “MOVRR account deletion request”, preferably from the account email. Identify the account and whether you want the whole account closed or a specific data-rights request. This route is also available if you cannot sign in. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, full GPS history or an unsolicited passport copy. Receiving your email is distinct from completing deletion.
2. Request acceptance is not completion
A request may need identity verification and assessment of unfinished obligations or lawful retention before it can be completed. An unavailable, failed or review-required in-app response is not confirmation that the account has been erased. Contact privacy@movrr.nl to have the request handled manually.
Keep any request or status reference. Account erasure involves the authentication identity, application records, personal uploads and relevant provider copies, with limited exceptions explained below. A status receipt records the reported outcome; it is not a promise that every justified retained record or backup copy disappears at the same moment. Contact the privacy address if completion or retained data is unclear.
3. What deletion covers and what may remain
The request concerns your authentication identity, profile/contact details, linked ride and GPS records, device/push registrations, preferences, uploaded personal assets, and linked reward/community information. The actual disposition must be assessed across databases, file storage, external providers and local/server copies. Deleting a MOVRR account does not delete your separate Apple or Google account.
Shared community rides, other participants’ records, valid reward obligations, equipment records and necessary legal evidence need a proportionate disposition rather than an automatic blanket deletion. Only fields necessary for a documented lawful purpose may remain, with restricted use and an approved review/expiry rule. A financial record does not automatically justify keeping its GPS trace or entire profile.
Backup rotation, restore suppression, CDN caches, diagnostics and processor copies require their own verified handling. No automatic 30-day full erasure, 90-day backup deletion or irreversible anonymisation of every shared record is promised. Where information is retained lawfully, we must explain the category, reason and period or criteria in the response.
4. Points, existing redemptions and equipment
A closure request does not automatically cancel valid existing redemption obligations. MOVRR must resolve pending requests according to their verified status and applicable terms and explain balance, redemption and equipment consequences before irreversible deletion. Unused points are not promised a cash conversion or automatic payout; no automatic forfeiture of earned points is introduced. You do not have to redeem points before exercising an erasure right. Outstanding obligations may require limited, lawful records, not unrestricted retention of your profile or location history.
5. Access, correction and other rights
You may also request access, rectification, restriction, objection and qualifying portability, or withdraw consent. The in-app export covers selected records and is not a complete response for every data category. Email privacy@movrr.nl for additional information or a request that cannot be made in the app.
GDPR responses are due without undue delay, normally within one month of receipt. If complexity or request volume justifies an extension, the reason and extension must be communicated within that first month; the extension may be up to two further months. This statutory response period is distinct from the technical completion of justified erasure steps.
Uninstalling the app, signing out or revoking GPS/push permission does not close the account or erase server records. Revoking a permission controls future device access. You may complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or another competent supervisory authority. See the Privacy Policy for the full rights explanation.
